But what was great is that almost all the arguments he brought up, I had already faced less than two weeks ago in the online setting--so nothing came as a surprise, and I was also aware of what arguments from the Christian side would be useless to bring up. I find it awesome how following the Holy Spirit will inevitably lead to experiences that train you for the next place He leads you.
Long story short, my girlfriend Robin and I frequent that restaurant and see this waitor often, so now the lines of communication are open. We'll definitely be seeking him out.
Please pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal the truth to him--we have a couple people in our small group who used to be atheists, so I know God can do it!
And here's a little practical advice for the next time you're in a restaurant and you share the Gospel with a waitor or waitress: Always leave a generous tip! We need to show the love of God tangibly more than we need to explain His love verbally.
