Being a Christian is so much fun!
A few posts ago, I reported the deep moving of the Holy Spirit in our small group last week and mentioned that it stirred us to action. Last week we felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to have this week's meeting at our local Denny's restaurant. We just felt that God was going to do something, but we didn't know what.
Well, long story short, after a couple hours of genuine Christian fellowship, a young lady named Jessica approached our table and said, "I couldn't help but hear you guys talking, and I wanted to tell you about something we're putting together for this summer."
She handed me three pages of passionate vision from God. They detailed a movement of young adults that she feels God has called her to be instrumental in starting. Also included were some detailed notes on an event she wants to put on this summer.
I thumbed through the notes and read just the vision statement. In it I saw things that match perfectly with my own heartcry for this generation, and I readily offered my gifts and talents to help this event take shape. It also turns out that she lives just minutes away from our small group's usual meeting place, and she accepted our invitation to come next week.
So I'm understandably pumped about this right now, but I make no apologies for my excitement. As this event takes shape, I'll share more in my blog, so stay tuned. And if you happen to be in the Southeast Michigan area this summer, it would be great to have you as part of this event. I'll keep you posted!

As soon as I saw her, I could sense the Holy Spirit saying, "This is why I brought you here tonight." That got my attention.
